National Day dining specials aside, there are much to feast on this week around the city. This summer’s prized ingredient – black truffle – is making an appearance on Senso’s menu, and if you love your brunch extra boozy, head to Manhattan Bar’s new Sunday cocktail (champagne is so yesterday) brunch.

#1 – Black Truffle Delights at Senso Ristorante & Bar
Senso is rolling out a spread of summer-inspired dishes featuring the seasonal black truffle. Dig into the refreshing sea bream tartare paired with succulent obsiblue prawns, followed by a serving of fork tender cod fillet topped with shavings of black truffle, or the summer risotto complemented with smoked Italian cheese – delioso!

#2 – Chef Shermay Lee’s Menu at The Clifford Pier
Fullerton Bay Hotel’s newly opened all-day dining restaurant has teamed up with Chef Shermay Lee to present a specially curated menu of local delicacies. Available till 7 September 2014, diners can revel in modern-nostalgic fare like Hainanese kurobuta pork chop, nonya chicken curry with roti jala, colonial bacon wrapped chicken, and more.

#4 – Chef Chris Donnellan’s Menu at Ding Dong
The countdown is on. Ex-head chef of Melbourne’s Gingerboy Chris Donnellan will be helming Ding Dong’s kitchen for three exclusive nights next week from 12-14 Aug. Expect a menu heavy on Vietnamese and Thai flavours from this Southeast Asian food specialist, with highlights like soy cured ocean trout, crispy duck leg with red curry, and toasted coconut parfait with spiced strawberries. Seats are limited.

#4 – Sunday Cocktail Brunch at Manhattan Bar
Manhattan Bar’s indulgent new free-flow cocktail brunch – freshly shucked oysters, unlimited tipples, artisan cheeses, hand rolled bagels with house made cream cheese, and pulled pork sliders are all part of the package – is already a hot ticket: seats to this Sunday’s session are fast selling out. #5 – Gluttony Cocktail at Jekyll & Hyde
If you haven’t had the chance to try Jekyll & Hyde’s Gluttony Cocktail, cleverly concocted with vodka, Lao Ban beancurd, butterscotch liqueur, Frangelico, and kaya, now’s the time. For the whole month of August, the local-inspired drink is at 49% off at the Tras Street bar.
