Photography | Classes & Workshops | Honeycombers Singapore

Everyone’s a photographer these days, thanks to Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. If you’re looking to pick up some cool new camera tricks, or see Singapore in a whole new light, sign up for an intimate workshop with photography specialist Eyes on Asia.

For its upcoming workshop ($120 for a three-hour session) happening this Sunday as part of a series called The Twilight Sessions, award-winning photographer Felix Hug is taking six participants to Chinatown in the late afternoon to catch the fading light over the neighbourhood. “Chinatown is one of the historic and important areas in our city. Even the oldest Indian temple is here. Today, it is a buzzing mix of history, hip modern establishments and heritage shops. It’s well worth a visit with the camera,” says Hug, on the choice of location.

Not too keen on Chinatown? The Twilight Sessions also includes workshops and tours for other parts of Singapore including Little India, Gardens by the Bay and Arab Street. Noobs can register for their sit-down theory classes, or Town Sessions, which are great for mastering the basics in shooting and post-production. For intrepid travellers, Eyes on Asia also organises photography getaways – South Australia, Bhutan and Bali are currently open for bookings – with Hug and producer Jamie Boyd.

What do you do with all the beautiful pictures taken? Submit your best works in the Eyes on Asia Awards, Asia Pacific’s Premier Travel Photography Contest, and stand to win a grand prize of USD 1,000. For more information, visit Eyes on Asia Awards’ website.
