
Black summer truffles are in season and we’ve got the juice on where to get your fix this weekend. Otherwise, trade coffee with Champagne for Sunday brunch, try fine dining teppanyaki, and sink your teeth into Tiong Bahru Bakery’s new lunch set.
#1 – San Maurizio Festival at Truffle Gourmet
If the mention of black truffles make you weak in the knees, pop by the truffle-focused restaurant for black summer truffles and famous burgundies from Italy’s famed Piedmont region. The a la carte menu features luxurious plates including the Tajarin pasta truffle based with red prawn and lemon zest and braised wagyu beef short ribs served with truffle based polenta. There’s also a wine-pairing dinner menu that includes highly-regarded San Maurizio wines. Festival is on until August 31.
#2 – Champagne Brunch at Caprilicious
Caprilicious’s new brunch buffet offers a resplendent spread of baby lobsters, crab claws, and assorted sashimi from the mouth-watering crustacean counter as well as delectable cuts of wagyu beef and grilled lamb from the BBQ counter. Of course, Champagne, wines, cocktails, and juices are free-flowing. Brunch is priced at $108++ per person.
#3 – Abalone Delights at Min Jiang at One-North
From July 15 to August 14, Min Jiang at One-North is dishing out an indulgent spread of creations featuring the ultimate treasure of the sea – abalone. Master Chef Goh Chee Kong has come up with a special seasonal menu, with an abalone trio appetizer platter, double-boiled abalone with morel mushrooms in shark’s bone cartilage, and braised four-head abalone with millet broth to spoil your tastebuds.
#4 – Teppanyaki Dining at SHIMA
Goodwood Park Hotel’s famed fine-dining teppanyaki restaurant has reopened after a month-long renovation, just in time for their 30th anniversary. On weekends, pig out on the value-for-money teppanyaki buffet lunch, with has a selection of tempuras, sashimi, meats and seafood expertly prepared before your eyes. Lunch is priced at $59.90++ per adult and $25++ per child.
#5 – Panini Lunch Set at Tiong Bahru Bakery
Tiong Bahru Bakery’s new Panini lunch set comes with – obviously – a warm Panini sandwich and with freshly tossed Caesar salad. Choose from a classic combination of smoked salmon and cream cheese for your plain pastry or try the bacon and mushroom curry bread panini. Not quite sated? Their newly-launched sweet treats, like the pistachio apricot kouign amann or raisin and almond brioche, should do the trick.
