We gave you guys a sneak peek of Fairmont Singapore’s fancy new rooms earlier this year, and we’re happy to announce that their makeover mission is now complete! With a gorgeous new lobby, stunning new guestrooms, and the same warm hospitality you know and love, there’s no doubt you’ll be suitably impressed and feel right at home.
Adorned with works of art that illustrate the vivacious mix of cultures our cosmopolitan city is home to, Fairmont Singapore’s new lobby is a sight to behold. The first thing you’ll notice is the magnificent chandelier designed by Czech designer Petra Dicková. Inspired by the movement of the wind (and aptly named Playing with Wind), the chandelier illuminates the lobby space with a whopping 800 bohemian crystal glass balls that are hand-blown to perfection.
Another eye-catcher in the lobby is Diversity by Swiss textile designer Claudia Caviezel. This large tapestry celebrates our local culture with a riot of colours redolent of our country’s various multi-cultural festivals. Fairmont Singapore’s lobby now also features a tech-y upgrade: a new iPad check-in/out system, which makes for a more efficient, seamless, and stress-free experience.
The visual feast continues in the Fairmont Premier Rooms at the North Tower of the hotel. With a host of modern comforts and elegance with a touch of nostalgic old-world Peranakan charm, the new quarters exude understated luxury.
Guests can look forward to breathtaking views from a private balcony, great Nespresso coffee in-room, and luxe bathroom products by New York perfumer Le Labo. We also love the exquisite curtain sheers that resemble the delicate embroidery commonly found on the iconic kebaya costume, as well as the plantation shutters (so reminiscent of our beautiful shophouses and colonial black-and-white houses) featured in some of the rooms.
