Yo foodies, we’ve got news! The highly awaited collaboration between Maison Ikkoku x Hashida Sushi is on, while one of our fave Tiong Bahru brunch spots is spotting a new look and menu. We’ve got more in the bag, so read on for the five things we’ll be eating this weekend.
#1 – Gourmet cocktail pairing at Maison Ikkoku
Maison Ikkoku’s master mixologist Ethan Leslie Leong has teamed up with famed Master Chef Kenjiro ‘Hatch’ Hashida, to launch an exciting new bar menu. Think treats like foie gras macarons and paragiano-mushi (cheese chawamushi), paired with Ethan’s clever cocktails; we’re sooo there.
#2 – Welsh lamb at Ku De Ta
Calling all carnivores! Executive Chef Frederic Faucheux will be presenting five new dishes at Ku De Ta this weekend, each showcasing premium organic salt marsh lamb from the prestigious Rhug Estate of North Wales that’s thoughtfully prepared with his distinctive modern Asian influences.
#3 – Brunch at 40 Hands
Along with a fresh makeover, Yong Siak’s beloved specialty coffee house – 40 Hands – has a brand new brunch menu that’s going to be made available daily. Dig into new grub like eggs benedict, served with juicy steak or organic bacon, and the refreshing quinoa-based muscle mary salad.
#4 – Oysters galore at Pan Pacific Orchard
Oyster aficionados, get ready to be pampered by 10 at Claymore’s indulgent oyster buffets. Serving exclusively from 5 May to 10 June for brunch and dinner, savour freshly shucked gems of the ocean along with a lavish selection of cold seafood on ice, roasted meats, and Executive Chef Andy Oh’s signature plates.
#5 – Truffle Tuesday at Skinny Pizza
Not exactly a weekend treat, but we couldn’t say no to truffle. Tuesdays are officially Truffle Tuesdays at Skinny Pizza (starting 6 May) – so with every order of pizza, diners can enjoy a free serving of crisp truffle fries!
