If you were down for the St. Patrick’s Day revelry last year, you don’t need us to tell you what a party that was. This year’s St. Patty’s day street fest at Boat Quay and Circular Road promises to be an even wilder affair – so get ready for a rocking three days (14–16 March) of green, shamrocks, and all things Irish!

As the largest St. Patrick’s celebration in Southeast Asia, you can expect a boisterous affair fit for Ireland’s biggest holiday. The first day (Fri 14 March) will see roving magicians and photographers with bags of St. Patrick’s Day inspired props. Don’t be shy if they get friendly; strike a fab pose for the cameras!

Brace yourselves for the weekend, that’s when the real party starts. Myriad musical performances from Singapore-based Irish folks and homegrown talents like The Dunleavy’s featuring Brian Mooney, The Rogues, The Craic Horses, and The Blackberries, will amp up the streets, so sing and jive along while you knock back pints of Guinness. Don’t hesitate to make it a family affair; a host of balloonists, face painters, and green candyfloss booths will keep the littlies entertained, to be sure.

The highlight of the festivities is the St. Patrick’s Day parade (Sun 16 March), where you can catch a Harley Davidson convoy carrying St. Patrick and leading the parade pack from Asian Civilisations Museum to the main stage on Circular Road.

Famished? Hit up one of the many restaurants with Irish food and drink promos, like Molly Malone’s, uncabunca, Boomerang, Mogambo, Public House and The Vault, where you can dig into Irish classics (think beef and Guinness pie and Irish stew!).

The best part? Save more when you download the handy Singapore River One mobile app on iTunes or Google Play, which gives every new user a $5 discount coupon that’s redeemable at selected establishments (along Boat Quay and Circular Road) during St. Patrick’s Day. All you have to do is show the downloaded app on your device at the main booth to claim your coupon.

So whether you’re an expatriate resident, a Singaporean, or a tourist planning to visit Singapore during the St. Patrick’s Day period, head down to Boat Quay (and Circular Road) and join in the fun with the sea of green! For more information about the schedule of events, head here.
