Let’s not mince words; diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Flowers and chocolates are pretty good but when all is said and done, a romantic dinner for two is a must on Valentine’s Day.  Here’s some inspiration to help secure the one you want. (Much like the diamond, you can have him thinking it was all his idea!)

Pollen
Pollen’s Valentine’s Day six-course tasting menu includes a complimentary glass of champagne and personalised return transfer via a limousine buggy. Kick off with a selection of Pollen gourmet snacks and greens, before savouring shaved cured foie grassequences of fish on different textures36-hour cooked wagyu short rib, and a platter of desserts!

Joel Robuchon Restaurant
Pull out all the stops (but get ready to splurge) on an indulgent spread at award-winning Joel Robuchon Restaurant.  Arrive in style with your date in a chauffeured Rolls Royce, and feast on a sumptuous eight-course menu; with delicacies like grilled lobster drizzled in black Malabar pepper sauce and roasted guinea fowl and foie gras served alongside a potato confit.

Rolls Royce menu available on 14 Feb, $1250++ per couple, $150++ per pax (four courses), and $388+  per pax (eight courses).

Boathouse Restaurant
This modern French dining restaurant charms with a specially crafted (and surprisingly wallet-friendly) three-course dinner that can be enjoyed while revelling in the fab Marina Bay skyline. We recommend heading up after dinner to the roof-top bar - Prelude - to unwind (in each other arms) over a tipple or two.

Valentine’s Day menu available on 14 Feb, $88 per pax (6.15pm seating), $98 per pax (8.45pm seating, supplementary $32++ per pax for wine pairing.

The White Rabbit
As one of everyone’s (honeys included) favourite date restaurants, it’s no surprise that The White Rabbit makes it to this list. Expect a marvellous four-course dinner menu, specially crafted by Head Chef Benjamin Tan. A generous oyster bar, serving up Wellfleet and Gillardeau oysters, and wine pairings by the restaurant’s expert sommelier will be available as well.

Valentine’s Day menu available on 14 Feb, two seatings at 6pm and 8.15pm, $128 per pax, additional wine pairing option at $68++ per pax.

Kick off the night with a ‘cocktail courtship’ session at The Halia Bar, where boyfriends can try their hand at mixing a drink (with the help of a professional mixologist) for the lady! The meal will be served sharing-style, with exquisite plates like freshly shucked oysters, mushroom custard with truffle, 12-hour braised beef short rib, and more.

Valentine’s Day menu available on 14 Feb, $250 per couple, cocktail courtship sessions costs an additional $60 per couples (inclusive of two surprise cocktails/mocktails).

Jamie’s Italian
It doesn’t always have to be candlelight, cascading chandeliers, and opulent décor to impress your date. Casual and cozy does the trick too! Start with a celebratory glass of their house-brand prosecco, paired with bruschetta for two, before digging into your choice of main (slow-cooked pork belly served on a plan with seasonal roasted greens or Boston lobster with hand-made pasta). End the feast on a high note with an indulgent dessert plank, chock full of sweet treats like Gennaro’s tiramisucreamy pannacotta, and their signature epic brownie.

Perfect for the marine-lovers, immerse in a unique underwater dining experience this Valentine’s Day! Spend the evening gazing at the amazing marine life from the Open Ocean Habitat into your lover’s eyes while savouring a delectable four-course menu (champagne included).

Tanjong Beach Club
Dine under the stars, along the candlelit beach, and savour a four-course meal (showcasing the very best of the ocean’s bounty) at Tanjong Beach Club. Start with an amuse bouche of chilled prawns with fire and smoke sauce, and entrees like Irish oysters and foie gras torchon. Take your pick between Chilean sea bass or rack of lamb for your main, before rounding it off with a warm flourless chocolate cake served with doris plum ice cream. Best part? Each couple receives a bottle of Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Rose, cheers to that!

Saint Pierre
Pamper your loved one with a languid dinner along the Quay. Saint Pierre is offering a four-course or seven-course menu which includes delicacies like miso braised wagyu beef served with Japanese coal lobster tail. They’ve even got your post-dinner entertainment covered with a pair of complimentary movie tickets (extended for the four-course meal)!

Try something different this year; go creative with Museo’s three-course Valentine’s Day menu which includes a chance to concoct your own Sangria cocktail, and explore your inner Monet with a 90-minute social painting session. You can even take home your artworks as souvenirs at the end of the night!

Basilico
Feast on a resplendent spread of treats, including signatures like whole baked lobster gratin, pan-seared foie gras, and eight-hour braised Angus beef cheek, a crudo and seafood bar, cheese selection of over 20 Italian cheeses, and a chocolate lovers dessert corner. Be serenaded by the strolling violinist and psst… look out for a (secret) couple surprise from the chefs!

Keyaki
Calling all lovebirds who share adoration of Japanese cuisine. Make a beeline for Keyaki! Pan Pacific Hotel’s exquisite Japanese restaurant is rolling out a seven-course decadent menu which features seasonal highlights like grilled lobster with mentaiko (cod roe) sauce, wagyu beef teppanyaki, and chilled sour plum soba noodles. Keyaki will offer ladies with a welcome stalk of rose, though that’s no excuse to not gift your lady with a bouquet!

Fall in love with alluring dishes like grilled Australian lamb rack with tempura edamame, tuna tanaki with pickled apple and passion fruit dressing, and a grand masterpiece constructed of rose macarons, jivara ice cream, and Nepal pepper chocolate marshmallows for dessert.

Bacchanalia
It’s all about communal dining and small plates at Bacchanalia, so here’s your chance to partake in some cozy sharing with your date! The Valentine’s day seven-course sharing menu includes signatures like cauliflower au gratin and Tahitian vanilla confit salmon, alongside new creations like Executive Head Chef Ivan Brehm’s 30-month cured Jamon Iberico De Bellota ham and grass-fed Australian black angus tenderloin served with black truffle. They’ll even throw in two glasses of Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage 2004, sweet!

One-Ninety Wood-fired Steaks and Seafood Restaurant
Designed to seduce the palate, One-Ninety’s five-course affair begins on a bubbly note with Je t’ aime – a romance-inspired cocktail created by the newly opened One-Ninety Bar. The dining pleasure kicks off with langoustine and scallops ceviche served with passion fruit, Imperial Osetra caviar, and  pan-seared duck liver. Hearty dishes include squid ink ravioli with Brittany lobster, Tajima wagyu sirloinor, or grilled Mediterranean sea bass.
