So you’ve beaten the nutrition game by learning all the latest superfoods by heart. Now here’s where to find them.
SuperNature
This organic grocer is well known in the organic lifestyle community – well, superfood fans will love this e-tailer too! The superfoods that SuperNature have on offer include quinoa grain (one of the best sources of protein in the vegetable kingdom since the Aztecs!), bulgur (high in fiber, and a low glycemic index food), and camu camu powder, which has the highest naturally occurring vitamin C content than anything else. If you prefer to super-shop in person, visit their store in Park House.
SuperNature, #01-21/23 & 27 Park House, 21 Orchard Boulevard, Singapore 248645, p. 6304 1336. Open Mon-Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-6pm.
Nature’s Superfoods
This superfood online store is perfect for the superfoodie! Besides the usual suspects like chia seeds and raw cacao powder, Nature’s Superfoods always has the newest kids on the superfoods block. Dried inca golden berries that have antioxidant and dietary fibre levels higher than those of goji berries, as well as organic Yacon syrup (a low-calorie, pre-biotic natural sweetener) are some of their new arrivals. What’s more, delivery is free for purchases of $150 and above.

The Organic Grocer
Fans of the Australian superfood brand Loving Earth will be happy to know that The Organic Grocer is one of their Singaporean stockists! Raw maca powder, which reduces anxiety and depression, and Luvju Superfood Bars (an ingenious combination of fruit, nut, and chocolate superfood flavours!) are on offer. Shop online, or at the brick-and-mortar store at the Grandstand.
The Organic Grocer, PasarBella, 200 Turf Club Road, Singapore 287994, p. 6469 7743. Open Mon-Sun 10am-7pm.
Balanced Living
One unique superfood Balanced Living has in stock are nori sheets. Dubbed “the reservoir of vitamins”, they are one of the easiest ways to eat mineral and vitamin-rich sea veggies, especially for the little tykes! Another superfood on their best-seller list is the delicious, caramel-like raw lucuma powder, which is low-glycemic and a good source of beta-carotene. Shop online, or at their store in Bukit Timah.
Balanced Living, 779 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 269758, p. 6762-8029. Open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm.
Fairprice
Even Fairprice, our oldie but goodie grocery store, has superfood piled in its aisles. Black garlic – fermented garlic that tastes like balsamic or prunes – help to lower cholesterol, and even has anti-cancer properties! Other superfoods you can find here are fermented products (which aids digestion and the good bacteria in our gut, but you’ll never find in organic stores) like kimchi, and the pickled lettuce favoured by many older Singaporeans.
Fairprice, various locations islandwide.
GNC
You know a food is really worth its mettle if GNC is a distributor of that mass-manufactured (but still super) product. Turmeric curcumin, recognized for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant boosts is one. Another less-known superfood, though, is echinacea extract, which boasts of powerful healing properties that supports immune health and enhances the body’s natural resistance.
