It’s more than just turkey and pumpkin at these Thanksgiving feasts

Roll up, roll up! Let us whet your appetite for a scrumptious Thanksgiving feast as we take you through some of the best menus in town. Even though Thanksgiving (28 November) isn’t widely celebrated in Singapore, there’s no reason why we can’t gather our family and friends to officially commence the festivities before we say hello to Christmas.

Park Bench Deli’s launching its Thanksgiving festive menu with a massive Sunday roast feast. At just $20, you’ll get a choice of one main dish (porchetta, smoked beef pastrami or roasted turkey), toasted sourdough rye and three sides – a mix of mash potato salad, roasted root vegetables, roasted broccoli, mac and cheese or creamed spinach. Wash it down with natural wines at just $10 a glass. Stay tuned for more details about the full Thanksgiving menu!

If the sight of another whole turkey is giving you hallucinations, take it easy at Black Tap. This craft burger and beer diner keeps things casual with The Thanksgiving Burger ($24++), a Thanksgiving fry-up of some sort featuring a creamy brie layered with applewood smoked bacon, sage potato roll stuffing and cranberry orange aioli for a zesty kick. Oh, and you can’t leave without trying the crazy Pumpkin Pie Shake ($22++), which comes with a massive turkey-shaped topping of mini marshmallows, whipped cream and a slice of pumpkin pie.

Meatsmith

Count on Meatsmith at Telok Ayer to throw solid Thanksgiving meal! This time, tuck into a sharing-style menu of flavour-packed two-day brined turkey that has been Hickory-smoked for four hours, plus sides such as cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing and mashed potato with turkey gravy. Other dishes are worth a shoutout too! Stuff yourself with pan-roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potato casseroles, biscuits, potato rolls, cornbreads and finally, a slice of good ol’ pumpkin pie. We reckon you ought to pace yourself for this.

The Guild

It’s Friendsgiving at The Guild! Enjoy a family-style feast of your traditional Thanksgiving dishes with a twist – think turkey leg confit with laksa pesto and roasted strip loin with beef fat emulsion. Knock yourselves out with a round of homemade tomato bread and free-flow sides of caramelised Brussels sprouts and bacon, roasted garlic and sweet potato mash, turkey stuffing with sweet corn and homemade bread, and cabbage slaw. Dessert’s a slice of spiced pumpkin tart topped with fresh cream. Psst… Groups of four will enjoy a bottle of Prosecco on the house!

Marriott Cafe’s pulling out all the stops for an extravagant Thanksgiving feast before we get to round two (for Christmas). With over 90 dishes, this buffet leaves no wiggle room for mediocre – there’s roast turkey, maple glazed leg ham, prime rib, baked salmon, foie gras, seafood paella, charcuterie and cheese, Boston lobster, crayfish, snow crab legs, oysters Florentine… and we could go on. Bring your second stomach to tackle desserts like apple and walnut crumble, pumpkin cheesecake, yuzu lime tart, raspberry choux puffs and citrus pumpkin cake.

Skip the week-long hassle of prepping the turkey at home and patron rooftop resto Lavo for a rustic-style American Thanksgiving meal with a view. You can expect a hearty spread of roast turkey along with a sausage stuffing, mashed potato and gravy side, plus green bean casseroles and butter rolls that’ll fill you up nicely.
