Cool Pop-Up at Little India

Check out the newest pop-up store worth travelling to Little India for! If you love local brands and wish there was a place that brought them all together, the shopping gods must’ve heard your pleas.

This café, gallery, and retail space due to open on the 7th of September, is brought to you by home-grown creative agency, Tofu and will only be open for 6 months. Get ready for an eclectic mix of homegrown designers, craftsmens, artists, and labels, like local womenswear line, Stolen, independent record label and publisher, Kitchen Label, menswear label, Sundays, accessories label Stone for Gold, Singapore’s most popular independent bookstore, BooksActually, and more!

There’ll also be a gallery/exhibition space for grooming workshops, plus craft sessions for pottery or leather working. These sessions are open to the public and conducted by designers who might not have their works displayed at the store.

Lovers of Chye Seng Huat Hardware and Wild Rocket, you’ll be pleased to note that their owners will be teaming up to set up the café, called Compl(e)ments Of. With the menu featuring a few items, and changing every few weeks, this just means you get to try more stuff! The first item on offer will be a salmon red rice donburi, followed by a soft-shell chili crab in a squid ink burger. Sounds good to us!

Once this store closes, don’t fret, because another one is already in the works so keep checking back!

Temporium, 72-74 Dunlop Street, Singapore 209400, p. 6438 0363. Store/gallery open Tue-Sun 10am-8pm, café open Tue-Sun 9am-10pm.
