For an island nation that’s tiny, Singapore has a massive selection of venues for your next special event. Don’t sweat if you’ve been given the mega task of planning a party, our list of party venues in Singapore will have your back. From cocktail bars and restaurants for big groups, to hidden spots – these party venues will be cool enough for your crew.

The Black Swan

The private dining room at The Black Swan is as sexy as its other spots (we’re talking about the main brass-heavy, Great Gatsby-inspired dining hall, The Powder Room on the mezzanine level), and it’s hidden from plain sight if you crave privacy.
The Black Swan, 19 Cecil Street, Singapore 049704

HopHeads

party venues in Singapore
Photography: HopHeads via Facebook

We’ve raved enough about this underground pub so there’s little reason why it’s on this list. Perfect for after-parties, birthday night out, corporate events and even weddings, there’s enough games (beer ping pong, darts, giant Jenga and billiards) to keep you entertained through the night – and not to mention, the booze. Just gather your crew and HopHeads will settle the brew.
HopHeads, 178 Clemenceau Ave, #B1-00 Haw Par Glass Tower, Singapore 239926

The Projector

Yes, apart from catching up on some solid indie films, the classic cinema hall, stage and foyer cafe spaces are open to hosting private events. What’s more, the large screens make for impactful presentations. The green room accommodates up to 250 guests.

Hit them up for enquiries and they’d be happy to assist. Sweet treats with tasting sessions from resident baker, Natalie is also available. From the looks of past events, you can bet your best buck that your guests will be raving about this place.

This one’s for the kids and kidults. The concept behind Coffee Min is quite fascinating – enjoy free drinks and snacks, wifi, board games, a game of pool and Xbox…everything’s free except the time you spend at this cafe. It’s the perfect location for a chill party with fun facilities, a 60-inch TV for presentations or video screenings, along with unlimited drinks and snacks for all. Plus, they’ve planned over 500 successful events so you’re pretty much in good hands.

The Usual Place boasts spaces up  2,300 sq. ft. and can accommodate up to 130 people. With interactive games for young and old; karaoke, a photo corner and a beautifully furnished space, you won’t realise the hours passing by.

Native

Vijay Mudaliar is the audacious fellow behind Native and its creations, all stemming from his focus on foraging from his surroundings. Vijay’s cocktails boast identities close to home – take the Geylang-inspired Red Light District that uses the Southeast Asian medicinal root, tongkat ali; or the Pineapple Arrack that’s derived from coconut flower sap aged in Sri Lankan wood. Oh, there’s also a cocktail here with edible ants in it. Is your squad brave enough to try it?

Kult Kafe

Take in some street art with a drink in hand. Photography: Kult Kafe via Facebook

It’s always fun to appreciate art with a tipple in hand, so it’s a natural progression to have this swiggin’ haunt sprout from the cultured crannies of Kult Gallery. Once you’re done taking in some street art, help yourself to bespoke cocktails mixed by ex-Tapow bartender, Zac Mirza – the Kult Julep featuring rum, lime and gula melaka is a must-try! Not to mention, Kult Kafe is home to many events.
Kult Kafe, 11 Upper Wilkie Road, Singapore 228120

The White Rabbit is a restaurant under the towering beams of a deconsecrated Church. The brunch features a selection of fine bubbly as well as refreshing cocktails. Every good event needs a cool photo station and White Rabbit’s charming garden is picture perfect – put your photobooth here!
The White Rabbit, 39C Harding Road, Singapore, 249541

Cafe Melba

This café exudes that laidback, unperturbed coolness that only East-enders seem to possess. Located in the one and only Goodman Arts Centre, Café Melba delivers quality, unpretentious nosh made with the freshest ingredients possible. Hey, these guys even cure their own bacon! While their food is top-notch, what we really adore is their alfresco area – the space is so cleverly designed that it manages to be cosy and intimate, yet breezy and private all at once.
Café Melba, 90 Goodman Road, Goodman Arts Centre, Singapore 439053

Riders Cafe

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Riders Café, which is, in our opinion, the best thing you can get if you’re thinking of a short “country”-style escape. Tucked away in the lush greenery of Bukit Timah Saddle Club (yes, there are adorable horses all around), this tranquil spot is great for an intimate birthday celebration or wedding venue.
Riders Café, 51 Fairways Drive, Singapore 286965

Ding Dong

From the prospect of munching on a lamb tongue to sipping a cocktail called Drunken Mushrooms, all while being stared down by an Afro-sporting movie hero dubbed Milo Dino and hearing cheesy George Michael ballads from the kitchen; nothing about Ding Dong seems to take itself too seriously… and we mean that in the best way possible.
Ding Dong, #01-02, 115 Amoy Street, Singapore 069935

Botanico

Escape from the urban gridlock at multi-concept dining establishment, The Garage in Botanic Gardens. This sanctuary is home to both Botanico and Bee’s Knees. The former, a casual bistro concept, offers contemporary dishes from a “seasonality-driven menu” put together by Spanish-born Chef Antonio Oviedo. On the menu are dishes like lamb tartare, braised pork belly, cured and grilled Spanish mackerel, alongside surprises like the Ceiba – a warm chocolate dessert with ginger ice cream. Best part? Botanico’s spacious dining room, and its air-cooled outdoor dining area are more than spacious enough to accommodate a party of 10.
The Garage, 50 Cluny Park Road, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore 257488

OverEasy

Party like it’s the ’80s – with Miami Vice-inspired custom diner booths and cheeky decor (you’ll want to grab a photo with the neon ‘Shake ‘Em Buns’ sign), this all-American diner is a charming location for cocktail parties, dinners, meetings and product launches. Feeling cheeky? Challenge your colleagues to a round of beer pong or even champagne pong, and see who ends up king.

Wheeler’s Yard

Hands up if you’ve taken a photo in front of that signature rustic blue wall? Wheeler’s Yard’s spacious (can we emphasise the word “spacious” again?) industrial warehouse setting and unique bicycle covered walls are painfully hip. We picture charming DIY crafts and photo booths for an utterly Instagram-worthy party.
Wheeler’s Yard, 28 Lorong Ampas, Singapore 328781

DON HO

Party promoters, Sunshine Nation (who’ve brought us kickass events like the Garden Beats Festival) now rolls out a party for your palate with DON HO Social Kitchen & Bar on Keong Said Road, its first foray into the Singapore food scene. The industrial, tropical-themed resto features an innovative fusion menu by Chef Shiman Woon that blends Eastern and Western influences. And, as the “social kitchen” moniker would suggest, an evening here is geared towards group dining, so you’ll want to head down with your friends.
DON HO, 1 Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089109

Neon Pigeon

On the menu, you’ll find Asian-inspired sharing plates like tsukune sliders, miso roasted eggplant, and even seafood like dashi poached squid. Drink-wise, feel free to challenge the bartenders and get them to customise your poison to your liking. Artichoke Cafe & Bar

At one of Singapore’s best Middle Eastern-influenced restaurants, chef-owner Bjorn Shen puts out innovative creations that are great for sharing, from beetroot tzatziki to a falafel salad and a slow-roasted lamb shoulder. Don’t be surprised if you pop by and see something new on the menu, these guys are known for their spontaneity.
Artichoke Cafe & Bar, 161 Middle Road, Singapore 188978

Kilo

Like the Kilo brand’s general philosophy of mixing together a bunch of different, but, fun ideas, the Kallang restaurant does the same with its off-kilter Asian fusion cuisine. At Kilo, you’ll find curveball creations like sea urchin with matcha cream, ravioli with sake butter, beef tartare with kimchi; it’s an absolute circus of flavours and the chefs at Kilo are the ringmasters. Read our Hot 50 Tables feature for Kilo.
Kilo, Level M Ture Building, 66 Kampong Bugis, Singapore 338987

Fat Prince

The influences you’ll find here stem from Istanbul and Marrakesh, to Beirut and Amman – all congregating together in one place within the fringes of Singapore’s CBD at Tanjong Pagar. Fit for an opulent sultan, yet chilled-out enough to attract post-work yuccies looking for affordable swigs, Fat Prince treats all its patrons like royalty. Getting peckish while drinking is a given, and Fat Prince boasts a menu that – unless you’re a big solo eater – is perfect for sharing. Check out our full review for Fat Prince.
Fat Prince, 48 Peck Seah Street, Singapore 079317

Lime House

Got a massive party in the works? Go Caribbean and book Lime House’s private dining space on the second floor. If it’s a sit-down dinner, they can accommodate up to 50 pax. Their standing capacity is 80 pax. There’s no extra charge to rent the space, so let them know how you want to customise the package and they’ll make it happen.
Lime House, 2 Jiak Chuan Road, Singapore 089260

Lolla

This small 13-seater restaurant, whose basement space is great for up to 22 gourmands (book ahead), is all about amazing food and fab produce. Restaurant highlights include the sea urchin pudding, made with squid ink custard and sea urchin (yes, yes, yes), and the tuna belly “chutoro” tartare. The doughnuts with lemon curd are pleasantly surprising and a must-order to finish off a great meal.
Lolla, 22 Ann Siang Road, Singapore 069702

Potato Head Folk

Party venues in Singapore
It’s not hard to spot this establishment in Keong Saik (Photography via Potato Head Folk)

If you and your posse are hankering for some gut-busting burgers, sate those mighty appetites in the whimsical confines of Potato Head Folk. Call in early to book a table if you’re in a large group, or if you’ve got bigger plans still, the restaurant offers its space for private events. Dining here is completely unpretentious, so dress down and get messy with specialities like the classic baby Huey cheeseburger. If you’re after a little heat, try the spicy burning man beef burger instead.
Potato Head Folk, 36 Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089143

Tippling Club

Tippling Club’s 12-seater private dining room Bin 38 comes equipped with its very own R&D kitchen (how cool is that?!) Your gang can choose to have a small menu or large menu, and if everyone likes, chef-owner Ryan Clift will personally cook up a storm for the party upon request.
Tippling Club, 38 Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088461

Long Chim

Long Chim’s undeniably our favourite place for elevated Thai food. Relax and unwind in the resto’s private dining room which seats up to 22 guests. If you like, order the special set menu ($99 per pax), which consists of five starters, seven main dishes, and two desserts (don’t worry, portions are pretty small).
Long Chim, #L2-02 Atrium 2, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956

NOX – Dine in the Dark

For something totally unique to wow your pals, and your tastebuds, book the private room at NOX. The three-course set menu is reasonably priced ($88++ per person) and, as you’re dining in the dark, you won’t know what you’re eating until all is revealed after the meal. Expect a lively debate as you try to guess what the hell is actually on your plate.
NOX – Dine in the Dark, 269 Beach Road, Singapore, 199546

Zouk

Party venues in Singapore
When you think party, you gotta think Zouk. Photography via Zouk

This mega clubbing institution has been around for a whopping 25 years, making it a staple of Singapore’s nightlife scene. With sprawling multi-level dance floors, and three dazzling club spaces, this is THE destination to see international DJs – think house and techno elites like Paul Van Dyk or EDM crowd pleasers like Dyro.
Zouk, 3C River Valley Road, The Cannery, Singapore 179022

CÉ LA VI

Taking the meaning of living the high life to a whole new level – 57 stories up, in fact! – is CÉ LA VI. Perched atop the boat-shaped structure of Marina Bay Sands, you not only get a picturesque view of the SG skyline, but also a luxe clubbing experience that combines swank with swagger. Swing by for DYSKO Mondays for some disco inferno, This Is House Tuesdays for classic 4/4 grooves, and Radiostar Saturdays for popular chart-topping earworms.
CÉ LA VI, SkyPark, Marina Bay Sands Tower 3, 1 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018971

Headquarters by The Council

Some clubs in Singapore are all style and no substance, and you then have nightspots that are devoted to dishing out underground dance music – day in, day out. For many punters in the local music scene, that one sanctuary is Headquarters by The Council. House, tech-house and techno are your usual suspects here, with all their derivative sub-genres given time to shine in the HQ – minimal, deep, tribal, acid; you’ll hear it all (even some disco if you’re lucky).
Headquarters by The Council, Level 2, 66 Boat Quay, Singapore 049854

Canvas

After the closing of hipster haven Home Club, we were left craving for something to fill the alternative club void. Thank goodness for Canvas – a quirky art-meets-music club of top-tier indie floor-shakers and underground vibes. Resident DJs (like Mr Boo and LeNERD) spin everything from indie anthems to hip-hop classics.
Canvas, The Riverwalk,#B1-01/06, 20 Upper Circular Road, Singapore 058416

Blu Jaz Cafe

Three-stories of decent local music awaits in this quaint shophouse situated along Bali Lane. Besides being a host to good vibes, BluJaz caters to any music taste, any night. Whether it’s jazz, reggaeton or even trippy psychedelic trance, this unconventional space plays it all. We recommend booking the entire second floor – it comes with a rustic outdoor balcony.
Blu Jaz Cafe, 11 Bali Lane, Singapore 189848

Hiring a boat in Singapore is just a case of chatting to a few companies, working out the overall size, deciding upon a route (from day trips to weekends away) and adding extras like food, booze and activities.
