Catch French cult favourite Les Chansons D’Amour at Alliance Francaise this month. One of the 20 films to be selected for screening at Cannes Film Festival, the film may be a low-budget production – but is utterly charming and popular amongst the under-25 set.
The film brings the best of everything we love about french films: coffee and cigarettes, a haunting score and romantic references to old French films of yore and even a similar Romeo and Juliet balcony scene.
