Zouk
This mega clubbing institution has been around for a whopping 24 years, making it a staple of Singapore’s nightlife scene. With sprawling multi-level dance floors, and three dazzling club spaces, this is THE destination to see international DJs – think house and techno elite like Paul Van Dyk or EDM crowd pleasers like Dyro.

kyō
Hidden at the basement of a tower in the bustling CBD is kyō – an underground playground where utter decadence and music revelry awaits. If you’re a fan of Japanese drinks, the bar is stocked with varieties of Japanese whisky, sake and spirits. This play den and former bank is ultra-sleek and minimalist – be surrounded by dark earthy tones and bronze wall panels as you jam out to edgy tunes by regulars like Norman C or international acts like Tessela.

Attica
Ah, Attica – the quintessential club for hazy ladies’ nights and late night frolicking. Refurbished in May 2014, Attica delivers nothing but sexy, stylish vibes and attracts a loyal local and international clientele.Take your pick: Level 1 plays RnB, and top 40 charters while Level 2 is a playground for house, trance, and progressive. A prominent player in SG’s nightlife circuit, this is an institution for outrageous parties and hook ups.

Refuge
Spanking new Rnb and hip hop club Refuge has recently opened – and to much fanfare. The only club to specialize in funk, hip hop and Rnb, Refuge is a double storey paradise of twerkin’ and booty shakin’. Turnt up for Reminsce Fridays where homeboys Titus and Big Mike take you back with old school hip hop and funk. Cover charge is only $12 for the first drink, so party nights here are (affordable) booze-soaked affairs.

Trace
Embrace Trace – a new club located in the Clarke Quay hood’. The club is a hot fav of young’ins looking for an alternative EDM destination. Visuals here are extremely stunning (particularly when you’re adequately boozed up) – party amongst multi-dimensional light shows and pulsating 3D projection mappings. Look out for its grand opening come 12 and 13 June.

Pangaea
Ladies, strap on your (sky high) heels to this ultra lounge – or you won’t be allowed in. Welcome to Pangaea – of glamourettes and billionaires splashing out on bottles of bubbly. Flamboyant is the key word here – think animal-skinned sofas, Ralph Lauren tables and glam hostesses decked in slinky designer dresses.

Canvas
After the closing of hipster haven Home Club, we were left craving for something to fill the alternative club void. Thank goodness for Canvas – a quirky art-meets-music club of top-tier indie floorshakers and underground vibes. Resident DJs (like Ming and Jeris of Homeclub glory) spin mainstream meets indie mixes – namely nu disco, house and techno.

Bang Bang
In the place of the old Mink, lies cheekily named nightclub – Bang Bang, where good-looking party revelers gyrate to dope club bangers and mashups. Liked the notorious cages in now-defunct Zirca? Sexy go-go dancers galore pump up crowds for the club’s popular midweek Wild Wednesdays.

Altimate
Dance to new heights at Altimate – the super swanky club is oh-so-plush and offers glorious views of Singapore’s glittering skyline (it’s located on the 61st floor). Swathed in colourful LED lights and giant screens, cover charge is pricier than usual ($45) but the views and exclusive ambience are worth paying for.

Tanjong Beach Club
Okay, so this is not your typical nightclub found in the heart of the city but this sun-kissed playground is famous for its riotous beach parties (check out beach festival Full Steam Ahead!) and great DJ lineup. Located in the far end of Sentosa, all you need here is a bikini and sunscreen to prep for epic beach blowouts.
