Spend an afternoon wandering through Galerie Michael Janssen and discovering the works of Singapore-born Simryn Gill – Like Leaves. This exhibition serves as a complement to her major solo showcase “Hugging the shore” (currently on display at the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art).
Using leaves from a particular species of trees known as the Sea Apple Tree, the works are made from square cut leaves and pinned directly onto the walls as geometric murals.
