With the eggs-traordinary amount of brunch places popping up all over our sunny island, we cracked our brains and hatched up a list of egg-cellent brunch places.

Scrambled, poached, truffled, even Shakshouka-ed, here are our top 10 picks for the best eggs in Singapore.

Rider’s Café has to be one of the most picturesque places to have brunch. Just outside the veranda you have a lovely view of the stables. If you’re feeling indulgent, ask for one of their milkshakes (our fave is Chocolate. and Banana.)
Eggs ala… Scrambled. We love the scrambled eggs here; warm, fluffy, and moist. Hot tip: ask for added cheese to the scrambled eggs.
Rider’s Café, 52 Fairway Drive, Singapore 286965. p. 6466 9819. Open Sun-Thu 8am-9pm, Fri-Sat 8am-10pm, closed Mon.

Their full breakfast menu is only available on the weekends, with a limited menu on the weekdays. But if you can’t get breakfast at Epicurious, go for their award-winning Epicurious Burger with the works ($20). A beef patty, topped with cheddar, bacon, mushroom, and egg, it’s practically breakfast stuffed into a burger. We like.
Eggs ala… Green. Sam-I-Am and Dr. Seuss would be proud. One of their signature breakfast dishes is the title Dr. Seuss book, Green Eggs and Ham ($16). But if you can’t stomach green eggs, go for the safer Baked Eggs with Toast Soldiers ($14), which is just as delicious.
Epicurious, #01-02 The Quayside, Robertson Quay, p. 6734 7720. Open for lunch,  Tue-Fri 1130am-230pm; dinner, Tue-Sun, 6-10pm. Open 9am-5pm on weekends. Café Epicurious, 392 The Rail Mall, Upper Bukit Timah Road, p. 6894 5926. Open for lunch, Mon-Fri, 1130am-230pm. Dinner: Sun-Thu 5-10pm, Fri & Sat 5-1030pm. Sat & Sun, 9am-4pm.

Is it worth jumping onto the brunch bandwagon for Club Street Social? We answer with a resounding yes. It’s a little slice of Manhattan with quality coffee, fantastic brunch dishes, and great drinks at night. All-day breakfast is great there and you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to variations of Panini.
Eggs ala… Scrambled, hands down. This is one of the best scrambled eggs in Singapore, if not the best. Their simple dish of Scrambled Eggs ($12) comes with a heaping pile of eggs, sprinkled with chives, and a few slices of buttered toast.
Club Street Social, 5 Gemmill lane, p. 6225 5043. Open Mon-Fri 11am-1030pm. Sat 9am-1030pm, Sun 9am-9pm.

In the middle of a quiet street at River Valley, Five and Dime Eatery is one good-looking chap. Despite its great interiors, the standout is still the food. American comfort food like Mac & Cheese is served at lunch along with burgers and pizza. But weekend brunch is what brings in the crowd.
Eggs ala… Benedict. Served on top of brioche with a side of salad and seared beef, the Eggs Benny ($16) is fantastic.
Five and Dime Eatery, 297 River Valley Road, p. 9236 5002. Open Mon-Fri, 12pm-12am. Sat, 10am-12am and Sun 10am-10pm. Closed Tue.

Symmetry has nailed the art of brunch. They’ve been doing so well they’ve revamped their menu and included some new dishes, including Poached Eggs with silky mashed potatoes, chorizo, and caramelized onions.
Eggs ala… Sunny side-up. Their Duck Egg ($16) comes served with two sunny side-up eggs on a bed of watercress, barley pearls and sausages. We love the crumbs of salted duck egg yolks topped onto the eggs. Their Eggs Benedict is a crowd fave as well.
Symmetry, 9 Jalan Kubor, #01-01 Singapore 199206, p. 6291 9901. Open Tue-Thu 11am-11pm, Fri-Sat 11am-12am, Sun, 11am-7pm. Closed Mon.

Lolla may serve up small portions, but these dishes are thoughtful and surprisingly filling. Sea Urchin Pudding ($19) is what draws in the crowds, but stay for their Grass-Fed Ribeye Steak ($52). Heavenly!
Eggs ala… Scrambled.Their Scrambled Eggs with Bottarga di Muggine ($22) is a must-have on the menu. Think creamy eggs paired with flecks of cured roe of grey mullets. Trust us – you’ll be back for more.
Lolla, 22 Ang Siang Road, Singapore 069702, Open Mon-Sat 12-2pm and 6-1145pm. Now open for lunch.

Kith Café, originally at Robertson Quay and Park Mall, has since expanded to Sentosa Cove and we love the new outlet. On top of affordable brunches, Kith Café has great coffee and desserts. We recommend the Banana bread.
Eggs ala… Scrambled. If creamy scrambled eggs that come with the Big Breakfast ($16.50) sounds like a deal maker to you, you’ll love Kith.
Kith Café, 31 Ocean Way, #01-08 Quaside Isle, Singapore 098375, p: 6734 9007, Open Mon-Sun 8am-10pm, closed Tue.

OK brunch can sometimes feel a little chichi, but Arbite dials down the unpretentiousness with theirwell-executed, straight-to-the-point fare. For dessert a must try is their Gula Melaka Tiramisu ($8), a local twist on the rum-soaked dessert.
Eggs ala… Poached. Get the Croque Madam ($15.90) which is a foccacia sandwich with parma ham, brie, and truffle mayo topped with a poached egg. Arbite, 66 Serangoon Garden Way, Singapore 555962, p. 6287 0430. Open Tue-Fri, 11:30am-3pm, 6pm-1030pm. Sat-Sun 9am-1030pm. Closed Mon.

Hummerstons knows hangovers. They have a “hangover special” called the Hangover Poutine ($19), which includes thick-cut fries with Irish sausage, chedder, beef, and a poached egg.
Eggs ala… Benedict. They make great Eggs Benedict ($16) at Hummerstons, but if you’re looking for something interesting get their Breakfast Toastada. A tortilla topped with scrambled eggs and sausages.
Hummerstons, 11 Unity Street, #02-14, Roberston Walk, Singapore 237995, p. 6737 8863. Open Mon-Thu 12-10pm. Fri 12pm-12am, Sat 10am-12am, Sun 10am-6pm.

Perfect places for a lazy Sunday brunch are few and far between, but we think Artichoke fits the bill perfectly. Get the Self Destruction ($24) breakfast plate, which comes with breakfast favourites like hasbrowns, eggs, sausages, cheese, mushrooms, and gravy.
Eggs ala… Shakshouka. Shak-what? Eggs Shakshouka ($20) comes in a skillet with two eggs baked in tomato sauce with braised lamb, cheese, and toast. Definitely a heavy brunch, so come with an empty stomach!
Artichoke, 161 Middle Road, Sculpture Square, Singapore 188978. p. 6336 6949. Open Tue-Fri 630-10pm. Sat 1130am-3pm, 630-10pm. Sun 1130am-245pm. Closed Mon.
