So you want to start rocking the party season now instead of waiting for a win? Well we have just the thing! Check Capsule 5, their fifth and recently launched collection. Balancing sharp tailoring from designer Sven Tan with the fluid draping of co-designer Kane Tan, the collection is a combination of casually structured looks and soft lines. It features square and oblong silhouettes such as cropped boxy jackets and shirts with wider cut, three-quarter sleeve lengths, or shortened pant lengths. The influence of the square is also applied to handkerchief hems and square-cut layered peplums. Angles are softened by bias-cut cascades, layered silk cotton organdie and fluid crepe. New skirts and culottes have pleats that swing or hang with confident asymmetrical weight. The overall collection is streamlined and minimal with concealed closure details, and crisp, heat-fused hems and edges.
