Having a room with a breathtaking view is one thing. But having a snow-capped mountain for a backyard is a truly unique experience, and the new KASARA Niseko Village Townhouse promises exactly that.

The Niseko Village in Hokkaido, Japan is a top destination for skiing enthusiasts, and is famed for having fresh powder snow. It’s a two-hour journey from Hokkaido’s New Chitose airport, but hitting those majestic slopes will more than make up for the time spent on the road.

The Niseko Village Townhouse launch this December debuts YTL Hotel’s KASARA brand, a collection of unique and luxurious hotels, resorts, and residences in exotic locales. Located snugly at the base of Mount Annupuri, the collection of eight 3-bedroom townhouses will keep you warm and toasty throughout your stay. These plush digs pay homage to Japanese culture in the Edo period, and take reference from shibumi, which refers to simple and clean beauty, in their design aesthetic.

Comfort meets contemporary elegance here. The townhouse is equipped with a kitchen, a heated coat rack, and a single-vehicle covered garage. Each bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom. Free wireless Internet access is available, and a well-stocked collection of DVDs, books, and games is at your fingertips if you want to go off the digital grid.

Personalised service is also at your disposal. A personal residence concierge will attend to your every need from the time you arrive, and you’ll also enjoy complimentary driver-on-call service within Niseko Village. Get an hour-long guided tour of the slopes on your first ski day, or book a private lesson to pick up new skills. Ski/snowboard fitting can also be arranged right at your townhouse, and lift tickets will be delivered to you – how convenient!

Additional services, which come with a surcharge, include stocking the kitchen with groceries; child-minding; live cultural performances; and chef-on-call dining experiences.

Cabin fever won’t be a problem, since the townhouses are only moments away from the Village, where quaint wooden-latticed shops, restaurants, and spas await you. Or take a dip in a charming onsen, a natural hot spring, to soothe those aching muscles après ski – it’s complimentary for townhouse guests.
