With so many brunches, high teas and lunches on offer, all you need do is to set a calendar reminder to book and then pick up the phone. But because we want to give you a teensy bit of help, here is a list of failsafe places to take Mum on her special day. Don’t forget to pick up the tab too!

The White Rabbit
The Lowdown: OK, this beautifully restored former chapel is set to transform into a glam wonderland for the ladies with a great gourmet spread. Getting off to a good start, Mum will be handed a sparkling white peach Bellini on the house. Post dining, she can indulge in a free makeover and manicure by Luxola while you settle the bill.

Balzac Brasserie
The Lowdown: Most women have a penchant for all things French. Short of forking out on flights to Paris, capture some joie de vivre for Mum at this Parisian style resto. On the menu is foie gras custard with pumpkin emulsion, free flow oysters, smoked salmon, beef cheeks, pan-seared cod and Balzac Brasserie’s homemade strawberry cheesecake. Ooh la la!

Violet Oon’s
The Lowdown: Violet Oon, mother of two and proud grandmother of three, welcomes you to her cozy Bukit Timah bistro for a truly Peranakan home-style Mother’s Day buffet brunch! You can expect a lip-smacking spread of home-cooked Nyonya fusion delicacies like the classic Nyonya spicy chicken stew and buay keluak nuts, delectable sambal prawns, and Violet Oon’s signature shepherd’s pie.
Good For: Local meets modern
When: Serving exclusively on 11 May, 1130am-1pm, 130-3pm

Regent Singapore
The Lowdown: Mamamia! The Italians sure know how to love their Mums. In true Med style, Basilico is going all out with an extravagant selection that includes crispy glazed duck breast with orange and raspberry sauce and lobster and Prosecco risotto. And for something extra special, every Mum and Grandmother will receive a surprise gift.

Shangri-La
The Lowdown: Flowers are not only a gift on Mothers’ Day but they also feature on the menu at The Line and The Waterfall restaurants. Specially crafted flower-inspired menus mean a treat for all the senses. Think delicate, light and fragrant dishes like verbena glazed goose and chrysanthemum-cented cannellini.
Good For: Original Dishes

Intercontinental Singapore
The Lowdown: Tough choices to make here… would she like the high tea or dinner buffet at Olive Tree featuring Executive Chef Eric Neo’s signatures, or the all-out sumptuous Sunday Champagne Brunch at the hotel’s iconic Lobby Lounge. No matter what you go with, you can be sure it will be good.
Good For: The indecisive

Pan Pacific Singapore
The Lowdown: Forget the flowers, if your Mum is the type to be more sweet on the scent of durian than on roses then book in to Edge. Their Mother’s Day buffet dinner has seven live food theatres and a special selection of durian desserts prepared by Pastry Chef Philip Lee. Mums will also receive a welcome glass of champagne.
Good For: Epic durian feast

Cost: $88++ per adult, $44++ per child
Resorts World Sentosa
The Lowdown: Two very unique options are available inside our favourite island playground. Watch the marine life wander by while dining at Ocean Restaurant. Or book Mum into the spa and then treat her to a post-treatment meal at Tangerine, where nourishing light food won’t undo all the good feeling.
Good For: Something a bit different
Cost: Ocean Restaurant 3 course meal starting from $88++ per person and $168++ per person for a six-course dinner, Tangerine ($45++ per pax for three-course lunch, $80++ per pax for five-course three-course lunch dinner $45++ per person, $80++ per person for a five-course dinner.
Capella Singapore
The Lowdown: Gardens seem synonymous with Mother’s Day. The Knolls knows this and is set to transform into a gorgeous garden of flowers just for Mums’. The Mediterranean-inspired Sunday brunch, crafted to suit the spring floral theme, will feature seasonal highlights like slow roasted Dutch milk-fed Veal chop scented with seasonal flowers, and fresh asparagus cooked in a citrus mousseline sauce.
Good For: Paradise in Singapore

Garden, poolside and away from it all
Tamarind Hill
The Lowdown: Nestled in the lush forested Labrador Nature Reserve, Tamarind Hill exudes rustic-luxe from its opulent colonial design, right down to its mix of traditional and contemporary Thai cuisine. Dig into their Mother’s Day edition of Tamarind Hill’s semi a la carte ‘Thai-mless Sundays’ brunch, which promises a slew of classic and reinvented Thai fare.
Good For: A tantalizing taste of Thai
When: Serving on 11 May, 12-3pm.
Cost: $60 per person, $120 per person with free flow wines, beer, or selected cocktails. Mums dine for free with a minimum of four diners.
Riders Café
The Lowdown: If you really want to help Mum get away from it all, then this is the closest to country that we know of in Singapore. No traffic. No noise. No big buildings. Just a green leafy outlook with some beautiful equine creatures getting about (the horses we mean). If you have young kids then they’ll like this too as they offer pony rides from 10am for $10. There’s no special Mother’s Day menu, but their regular brunch menu is just as delish. Good For: Country feel hospitality
When: Regular brunch is served every weekend, 8am-3pm.
PS Café
The Lowdown: This oldie but goodie needs no introduction and the Dempsey location is always a winner. Gigantic floral arrangements, jazz music, consistent menu and that leafy outlook – we still love it here. There’s no special Mother’s Day menu, but their regular brunch and lunch menu have never disappointed.
Good For: Knowing what you’re getting.
When: Regular brunch and lunch is served every weekend.
Goodwood Park Hotel
The Lowdown: No need for a full course dining experience. Take it lightly, take a seat by the pool and take tea with Mum while you while away the afternoon together. L’Espresso is offering a lovely afternoon tea buffet full of dainty finger sandwiches, pastries and champagne.
Good for: Refined relaxing
When: Two seatings for Mother’s Day afternoon tea buffet at 12-230pm and 3-530pm. Cost: $78 per adult, $88 with a glass of bubbly or wine, and $54 per child.
Tanjong Beach Club
The Lowdown: Oh we do like to be beside the seaside. Mornings here are like a holiday postcard. It’s a good choice if kids are on the scene as there is plenty to keep them occupied. Enjoy breakfast by the pool and then check into your pre-booked cabana so Mum can relax while the kids dig in the sand and swim in the pool or the sea.
Good For: Cool and Pool
When: Open on weekends from 10am-11pm.
