With the long Easter weekend upon us, we’ve got more than good reason to celebrate with a tipple or two (or until we lose count)! And you can count on us to tell you where to party it up the Thursday before Good Friday.

Nestled in the heart of Clarke Quay, Le Noir Bistro & Bar transforms into a sensually elegant nightclub upon nightfall. Ladies’ night is on Thursdays, so you lovely ladies enjoy up to 5 free drinks till midnight.

Love oysters? Tanuki Raw’s happy hour (5 – 8pm) dishes out freshly shucked oysters at $1 each and $10 martinis that pack a punch (they use 45ml of alcohol in every drink instead of the usual 30ml). The revelry doesn’t end at 8pm; selected specialty martinis go at half-price daily and it’s the Chorus lady – a delightful marriage of Italian rosso and orange juice – on Thursday.

No.5 on Emerald Hill 640x480No. 5 on Emerald Hill

$7 house pours before 9pm, and 1-for-1 martinis from 9pm to 1am – need we say more? Housed in a quaint two-storey shop house, No. 5 on Emerald Hill might be tricky to spot (don’t let the Chinese signage throw you off!), but it’s worth the search. Save space for their prawn paste chicken wings – they’re finger licking good, we promise.

1930s art deco inspired The Black Swan has an oyster-licious happy hour as well. From Mondays to Fridays 5-730pm, it’s 30% off oysters, house pour spirits, wine, and draft beers. For $18, you can savour a pair of oysters accompanied with a glass of champagne, sweet!

Club Street is lined with watering holes, but a note-worthy bar is 83 on Club Street, which dishes out trays of 10 shots for only $30++ (perfect for getting sloshed with pals for the long weekend) and Jagerbombs for only $10++.

Wine Connection 640x480Wine Connection Tapas Bar and Bistro

With wine by the glass priced as low as $6, and tapas from $5 a plate, we’re more than happy to connect over vino at Wine Connection Tapas Bar and Bistro. If you’re going to be in town, check out their outlet at Cuppage Terrace. Go early to snag a table; they’re perennially packed.

For drinks with a view, hit up The Mad Men Attic Bar. They offer respite from the concrete jungle with $10 house pours, wines, and spirits, during their happy hour from 5-8pm daily.

KPO Café Bar (aka the bar with the most number of Porches and Ferraris in Singapore) has an impressive happy hour. From 12-8pm (drinks for lunch, anyone?) daily, house pours of gin, vodka, and brandy start from $7. House wines also go for $7 a glass, with bottled beers going at $8 each.

Bedrock 640x480Bedrock Bar & Grill

Besides serving up fine cuts of steak, Bedrock Bar & Grill’s all-day happy hour is also a winner. From 12-5pm, you can get draft beer at $10 nett, and its 1-for-1-draft beer, house pour wines and spirits from 5-9pm.

Slurp down a bowl of warm, comforting ramen at Mariko’s before heading to their bar. It’s 1-for-1 Thursdays every week, from 5-8pm, so that’s twice the happiness to go around!

One of the most ah-mazing happy hours can be found at Morton’s The Steakhouse. From 5-7pm (7 days a week) you can get yourself a MORtini and free-flow filet mignon sarnies, for only $14.95. It’s fastest fingers first as the delectable subs get snapped up in a flash.

Kyo 640x480Kyo

A space where elemental music meets visionary art, Kyo is one of the sleekest clubs in town. Thursday is ‘Hold It Ladies’ night with free-flow drinks for the gals (from 10pm-2am), with resident DJs Andrew Chow and Titus helming the deck. Ladies, work your moves to the sexy grooves of original hip-hop, funk, disco, and reggae with glasses of vodka cranberry as your fuel!

Zouk’s Wine Bar holds ‘Sales and Marketing’ night every Thursday. If you’re in the industry, simply flash your business card to get 1-for-1 all night long.

Party it up in the skies at the official launch of 1-Altitude’s coolest new club – Altimate (61st floor of 1 Raffles Place building). Opening its doors to public tonight, from 10pm onwards, this new premier ultra-lounge club is set to give Pangaea a run for its money.
