We have an update on Jamie Oliver’s Singapore resto, Jamie’s Italian Singapore! Of course there’s going to be fresh pasta like Prawn Linguine and Tagliatelle Bolognese. For mains there’s a Grilled Chicken – half a bird (naturally raised, happy chickens from Toh Thye San Farm in Malaysia), and Jamie’s Italian Wagyu Burger, with smoked mozzarella, pancetta, sticky balsamic onions, tomato, pickles and chillies. Yummo!
Think you know afternoon tea? Think again. Guest chef Executive Sous Chef Mitsutoshi Saito (who oversees four of the most successful and highly-acclaimed restaurants and banquet operations in Osaka) will present an 8-course afternoon tea at Greenhouse from 20 to 31 May 2013 as part of Gourmet Japan 2013. Expect a traditional maccha tea ceremony, seaweed noodles (tokoroten), classic Osaka dish okonomiyaki – grilled savoury Japanese pancake, Japanese sweets and sorbet and sweet red bean with mochi (shiratama mochi). $58++ for 8-courses, 230-5pm daily from 20-31 May 2013.
The next time you head to Great World City, take a shopping break with some pretty delish dogs. We’re talking about O My Dog’s latest additions – The Bangkok Burger, a grilled chicken sausage topped with tangy som tam, green pea curry, coriander, Thai basil, and green curry mayo; Le Dog, a beef sausage complemented with pickled thyme, red onion jam, and black truffle mayo, and the Bak Chor Mee hot dog made with a grilled pork sausage topped with vinegar-braised pork mince, grated cucumber, and sambal mayo.
