The latest satellite images, though, show objects in the Southern Indian Ocean that might have a connection.
- R.I.P L’Wren Scott: you might have been more famous as Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, but we will always remember the absolutely stunning dress by you that Amy Adams wore to the Oscars in 2011. Understandably, The Rolling Stones have put their 14 ON FIRE tour on hold, but they were amazing in Singapore last week.
- How much d’you think the most expensive dog in the world costs? If your guess is in the region of S$2 million, you’re right! A Tibetan Mastiff puppy was reportedly sold for 12 million yuan at a luxury pet fair in China. The breed supposedly has ‘lion blood’, which would, of course, result in them becoming status symbols among the ultra rich Chinese – go figure.
- The crisis in Ukraine just got a lot worse – pro-Russia forces seized two military bases on Wednesday, including Ukraine’s naval HQ in Sevastopol. As UN chief Ban Ki-moon heads to Russia for a diplomatic solution, leaders in the European Union are meeting in Brussels to discuss sanctions against Russia. We’ll be waiting to see if they work.
- The next time you meet Prince/ss Charming on the plane but didn’t get their contact information, get the airline to help you out – ‘cause that’s what Erica Domesek (we featured her in our top 10 Instagram picks for the DIY category) did. She tweeted American Airlines directly, and it took a while, but she actually found him! Now that’s one way to utilize social media that is worth your learning.
