What we have on the menu this weekend for you foodies: a decadent six-course Italian spread, lazy Sunday grills with the fam, and everyone’s favourite dessert – ice cream!
Looking to get your Italian fix? Buona Terra unveils its six-course winter menu ($148++), where Chef Denis Lucchi presents elegant renditions of traditional Italian comfort food and a harmonious medley of flavours. Kick off with char-grilled tuna belly with eggplant caponata drizzled in citrus caramel sauce, before savouring a unique take on the ubiquitous carbonara, and a delicately prepared sea bream. Mains include buckwheat pasta dressed with shaved black truffle and roasted quail served atop polenta in moscato wine sauce. End on a sweet note with an apple and pumpkin pastry paired with fiordilatte (a type of mozzarella) ice cream. This decadent menu is available till February so buon appetito!
Aptly named Lazy Sundays, The Green Door is rolling out a brand new all-day BBQ brunch that’s pretty much heaven-sent for all of us bed-hoggers. Starting 26 Jan, it’ll snag a regular spot on the last Sunday of every month. Freshly barbecued meats will take centre stage on the menu, with highlights like sticky molasses pork ribs, grilled cheeseburgers, and lamb tikka. Carnivores will definitely want in on this one. Better still, promos on Bloody Mary’s, Pimm’s, and beer buckets will be available. The entire premise is child and pet friendly so make it a family affair!
The next time you’re at PS Café Petit, sink your spoon into their new range of ice creams. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a whole range of fresh new flavours like chocolate blackout cake, blood orange minted sorbet, and passionfruit sorbet. Currently sold by scoops ($6 for 1 scoop, $10 for 2) but soon by the pint; perfect for more ice cream scoffing in our PJs!
