A little background…
A local art studio passionate about all things resin, Resin Play is an absolute go-to when it comes to quality resin art supplies. No matter if you’re a dedicated crafter, a total beginner or a resin enthusiast, the team conducts resin art and jewellery workshops at its intimate shophouse space for everyone to enjoy. Elaine Tan is the brains behind the brand – with almost a decade of experience working with resin, she’s the one behind homegrown labels Amado Gudek and Alfie De Meow.
What to expect
This uniquely fun workshop gives you an introduction to resin art and a chance to try your hand at a new hobby. Wondering what you’ll be making? You can choose between a canvas, two coasters or three Christmas ornaments. It’s quite a therapeutic time – perfect for winding down after a hectic 2020. Plus, the possibilities are endless, as you can use your fave colours and pigments to create marble or galaxy effects in your one-of-a-kind resin pour design.
Bonus points for the pretty pieces you’ll bring home for the holidays! All participants get to collect their artwork a day after the two-hour session, so you can display it as decor to spruce up your space or gift it to a loved one. Each workshop will host a maximum of six people, and safe distancing measures will be put into place, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Oh, and if you find yourself completely in love with the craft, Resin Play is holding more Christmas workshops that you can sign up for. DIY enthusiasts can also get your own resin art starter kit to continue the fun at home. Psst: This could be a cool hen’s night or birthday party experience too!
