With barely a month left till Christmas, we’re all geared up to deck the halls and dig into yuletide feasts. Kick-start the festivities with Mediterranean fare along the quay, fiery Mexican treats, a round of specialty bourbons, or a cuppa at one of the hippest new cafes in town.

The Provision Shop
We can’t stop raving about Everton Park’s latest gourmet gem- The Provision Shop. Brought to you by the folks from Unlisted Collection – who already have several boutique hotels and iconic restaurants under their belt, this new deli is on every foodie’s radar. Tuck into reasonably priced gourmet sandwiches and salads for lunch, or relish a laid back afternoon over a cup of quality brew. Hearty brunch options are served on weekends, along with a range of delectable desserts and homemade ice cream. This rustic and cosy deli only seats thirty and has a no reservations policy, so head down early to grab your seat!

Ronin
Say hello to Hong Kong Street’s new kid on the block- Ronin. This is the third café set up by the Australian café gurus who gained a cult following with The Plain and The Bravery. Just like its affiliate cafes, Ronin brews a smooth blend of Genovese coffee for that perfect cuppa. Feeling hungry? Don’t be mistaken by the lack of a food menu because these folks whip up a wicked sandwich. To order, simply ask the friendly service crew what’s available for the day!

Fans of Uppercrust by The Organic Baker, which used to operate at Circular Road, will be thrilled that they’ve opened a new café- The Missing Pan, nestled in the quaint Bukit Timah neighbourhood. Pick up freshly-baked artisan bread on the ground floor then head up to the dine-in area on the second floor for their signature sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Lower East Side Taqueria
How hot can you go? Take on the Lower East Side Taqueria’s ultimate taco hotness challenge (at the risk of your taste buds) and the tacos are on the house. This new Mexican joint hand-pickles their chillies, offers a selection of specialty salsas and guacamole, and just added home-made churros to their menu- we’re sold!

Mykonos on the Bay
Fantasising about sunsets along the Aegean Sea? Dining at Mykonos on the Bay, modelled after a genuine taverna, is probably the closest you get to being on the Greek party island.  Feast on a large selection of hot and cold meze (appetizers), classic greek salads, and traditional charcoal-grilled meats. Grab a seat at the outdoor terrace and soak up the fab view of the Sentosa Cove harbour against the warm sunset.

The Beast
A taste of American south on our little red dot, this honky-tong serves up specialty bourbons, southern comfort food, and a slew of American craft beers like deschutnes, stone magic hat and brewdog brewery- they had us at bourbons really.

Cicheti
Named after the traditional small plates served in Venice’s bàcari (wine bars), Cicheti presents Italian classics in a chic modern setting. Kick off with a selection of authentic cicheti before digging into your choice of mains like 10’’ wood-oven baked Neapolitan pizza or hand-made pasta. Complete your meal with sweet treats like herb jelly grappa and polenta almond torta, and a glass of their signature grappa cocktail.

Café Ergo Sum
Carnivores will joyously sink their teeth into the smoked meat sandwiches at Café Ergo Sum. Brought to you by the folks from Smoke Shack, expect delish protein fixes like pulled pork, smoked salmon, and smoked duck paired with blue cheese and apples. Unwind after a long day of work with a glass of vino, bottle of craft beer or a hand-crafted cocktail.

Senor Taco
The pioneers of traditional Mexican street food in Singapore have opened a new outlet right in the heart of Clarke Quay. As the only restaurant in town that operates its own tortilla factory, you can bet that only the freshest tortillas are served.  Pair your tacos with classic frozen margaritas, or sip on a Corona-rita- Senor Taco’s signature mix of Corona beer and frozen margarita!

Pack’d
Les Amis Group is on a roll- not that we’re complaining. Following the successful launch of casual dining spots like NamNam Noodle Bar and Pepperoni Pizzeria, Pack’d is the latest addition to the group’s gastronomic portfolio. An answer to the snaking lunch queues that are a daily nightmare, Pack’d offers gourmet sandwiches like roasted chicken with egg and celery, healthy salads, ready-made soups and most importantly- swift and friendly service.
