There’s always a season and occasion for waffles. Whether it’s a breakfast stack topped with a scoop of ice cream and fruits, or a savoury buttermilk waffle with good ol’ fried chicken, Southern-style. Here’s where to get your waffle fix around Singapore – we have a feeling you might be bolting out of the door to get some pretty soon.

Udders

Islandwide delivery available with a minimum order of $35, free delivery for orders above $60. Waffles are sold as an add-on option.

A homegrown ice cream brand, Udders produces unique flavours like Baileys and Bourbon (it’s a real boozy treat!) and Snickers Mars Honeycomb Vanilla (for sweet, chocolate-rich mouthful). To get the full experience, we recommend pairing the ice cream scoops with plates of fluffy waffles that soak up the creamy flavours.

Holy Cow Creamery

Free islandwide delivery for orders over $50. Takeaway and pick up available daily from 11.30am to 10.30pm.

We know you’re here for ice cream, but trust us, you gotta try the waffles too. Each serving is crispy on the outside and dense on the inside, which means it soaks up all that delish flavour from your ice cream. All we can say is… holy cow.

Serving up a different sort of waffle here – also known as egglets – Lickety’s offerings are handheld and perfect if you’re in the Arab Street precinct for some window shopping. Get your fix of sweet, creamy ice cream wrapped in a buttermilk or Red Velvet egglet and remember to snap something for the ‘gram!

This massive open-air bistro provides tranquil views of the river and offers a plethora of comfort grub like macaroni and cheese, pulled pork soft tacos and its signature: waffles. Serving up both sweet and savoury goodness atop waffles, you can enjoy the classic Eggs Benedict smoked salmon on waffles or go all out for waffles stacked with berry compote, vanilla ice cream, cheesecake pieces, a feuillete stick and fruits. Damn.

Revelry

Available for self-collection and delivery. Call or WhatsApp +65 9278 0466 to order.

If you’re a huge waffle fan, Revelry is the café you should head to. The Lorong Kilat cafe is the proud server of waffle pizza (the best of both worlds, really) and a local-inspired O.K Waffle Pizza of otah (grilled fish cake), kai lan (Chinese broccoli) and mozzarella. We recommend trying its most popular item for a start: the sinful chicken and waffles of deep-fried tender chicken thighs, maple syrup, cherry tomatoes and lettuce.
Revelry, #01-02, 21 Lorong Kilat, Singapore 598123

The Beast

Available for pickup and delivery (free for orders above $80). Order online or call / WhatsApp for enquiries at +65 9723 3601.

Yup, they made not have the most extensive waffle menu choices on this list but that one if they’re known for that one waffle dish they have, then they must have been doing something right, eh? Sinful Southern treats are aplenty at The Beast, including cornbread, country-fried steak and the house’s speciality of juicy fried chicken served atop thick waffles and drizzled with bourbon maple syrup. Our suggestion? Order up a glass of bourbon – the bar does, after all, offer some of the city’s biggest varieties of the liquor – or a sweet tea cocktail for an authentic Southern experience.
The Beast, 17 Jalan Klapa, Singapore 199329

Hatter Street

Their Belgian waffles are must-order items and it’s not surprising to hear that they have sold out, if you arrive too late. When you manage to snag a serving, be sure to add a scoop of their handmade ice creams like banana roasted pecan, Tahitian vanilla, and sea salt gula Melaka. And if you happen to be at Gillman Barracks for an artsy visit, do drop by at their second outlet there.

Tuck into their delish Belgian waffles, while lounging on their sofas and reading from their extensive collection of books. Our faves include gold rush waffle, and peanut butter and banana waffle.
