Ah Tan Wings

These days we are seeking out comfort food and there’s nothing like a plate of fried chicken to cure our stay-at-home blues. Hawkerpreneur Douglas Ng dived into the local food scene in 2014 by setting up a fishball noodle stall at Golden Mile Food Centre. What stood out? Well, using his grandmother’s recipe, he made every fishball from scratch and soon enough, the Michelin Guide got wind of it in 2016 and Fishball Story made it on the Bib Gourmand list. History lesson aside, taste the noodle dish for yourself and you be the judge!

Local flavours

One Prawn Noodle

Helmed by Gwyneth Ang, who has worked in top notch restaurants like Burnt Ends and Forlino for over a decade, One Prawn Noodle specialises in Penang-style prawn noodles. The soup here is a tad bit unique as Ang combines prawn bisque and tonkotsu-style broth together by simmering pork bones and then adding fresh prawn shells. The result? A creamy and flavourful broth, of course!
