When disaster strikes, it’s time to pull together and think about the ways you can help – as every little effort counts.
We have been overwhelmed by the different activities our readers and friends have put together to help our neighbours in the Philippines. From clothes drives to drinks nights – here is how you can help.
Drinks at Scoop
This new bar on Club Street is holding a fundraiser next Wednesday night, where 50% of the profits from Scoop, Bartini and Bartini Kitchen will be donated to Habitat For Humanity.

A Shoe Box Full of Hope
A shoebox filled with food and basic survival items, like toothbrushes, canned food, water purification tablets, and a torch, can mean a lot to a victim of Typhoon Haiyan. The good folk behind this drive have teamed up with Synergy Marine Group (a member of the shipping industry) to help with the logistics on both the Singapore side and the Philippines end. 5kg bags of rice are also welcome.
