It’s almost that time of the year when the crowds tend to get a little bit wilder and dubious gifts land in desperate shopping carts.
Yes, we’re talking about the ever notorious Christmas shopping. We love the cheer, but the shopping for presents? Not so much. Thank goodness Shiva Designs has come to the rescue with a bunch of new artists who’ve launched just in time.
Santa baby, time to take notes!
We’ve got our eye on Murphy and Daughters’s soy candles, which are environmentally-friendly and gorgeous. Probably our absolute fave cushion designer, Bonnie & Neil, has just launched a new summer collection. With their signature silkscreened prints on linen and wood, this label is consistently makes our lust list every season.
Emeldo Design
Emeldo Design has been on our radar a long time now, so we’re stoked that Rima is now carrying their jewellery straight from Oz. These distinctively festive and offbeat pieces were made for only the most discerning fashionistas *ahem*.
Also check out “Xintiandi”, the newest collection from Shiva Designs Bespoke’s in-house label, comprising handcrafted silk clutches, trays, and coasters all made from hand-woven silk and wood. They also have new neon cushions – right up our alley.
We’re already nuts about Samantha Robinson’s beautiful ceramics, so we can’t wait to check out Have You Met Miss Jones, who also creates beautiful, bright-coloured ceramic and porcelain homewares. Looking for something quirkier? AHOY Trader comes direct from Byron Bay and handcrafts ceramic crosses and portholes.
We love pop-up stores, and Shiva Designs never disappoints – Rima has a way with design! Head over to Originals on 10-11 October from 10- 6 pm. Shiva Designs is also collaborating with Vamastyle, and will be at the Bette Davies Room at House @ Dempsey on 25-26 October from 10am-7pm and 10am-5pm respectively.
Catch Rima at the Villa Del Rose fair on 7 November 2013, and if all else fails, swing by Boutiques at Gallery Hotel on 27-28 November to get shopping!
