6-8 and 13-15 March

#BuySingLit2020 is back for its fourth run, and avid readers can immerse themselves in the world of Singapore literature with exciting activities across the island over two weekends. This year, there are more than 60 activities to participate in, including a book bazaar at BooksActually, a multi-sensory installation called SingLit Power House and a stage play based on local horror titles.

Concert: Singapore Rockfest II 2020
5 March
It’s the battle of the rockstars at Singapore Rockfest II! German band Scorpions and British band Whitesnake will be reliving the good ol’ days by jamming it out on stage. Bob your heads to a mix of old and new favourites, including “Wind of Change”, “Still Loving You” and “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by Scorpions, along with hits such as “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love” from by Whitesnake. The rock and roll fest continues a couple of weeks later with metal band Slipknot and Trivium shaking the stage at Fort Canning Park.

Art: SUPER–TRAJECTORY: Life in Motion

With works from Singapore and Taiwan, as a collaboration between Inter-Mission, Tainan Art Museum and tamtamART, ArtScience Museum is showcasing an exhibition that sheds light on what it means to make art in a media-influenced world. Expect a series of installations and screenings that will make you ponder over the current digital landscape.

This intriguing plot follows the life of a grandmother who, after her son’s suicide, instils in her granddaughter that death is just a joke and shares her fantasies of purgatory and the underworld. However, things take a turn for the worse when her granddaughter is diagnosed with a terminal illness. The play is adapted by Zulfadli Rashid, written by Chong Tze Chien and directed by Mohd Fared Jainal; it will be in Malay with English subtitles.
