The flashy race weekend has finally arrived but you’re not quite into the whole car thing. Never fear – just take advantage of all the amazing fringe events happening over the F1 weekend!

The celeb chefs at Marina Bay Sands have roared into town. If you’re a fan of Daniel Boulud of db Bistro Moderne, Wolfgang Puck of CUT, Justin Quek of Sky on 57, and Guy Savoy of Restaurant Guy Savoy, there’s no better time to dine out. From lunch and bubbles to an exclusive dinner, you’ll want to get in on these deals early.

The Podium Lounge is a must-catch every race season. Well-attended by A-listers (including F1 drivers themselves), DJ Seb Fontaine will entertain the well-heeled crowd as the event celebrates life in the fast lane – fashion and bubbles included. See more here.

Want a party with a view? Head to Swissotel’s New Asia and party with world-class DJs from 19-22 Sep 2013. See more here.

The party hopping continues with the ultimate F1 party at Pangaea, where international DJs like Sam Young (London), Vikas Sapra (New York), Erok (Miami), Patrick Oliver (Miami), and Max Vangeli (San Francisco) will be spinning. These guys have entertained the likes of Beyonce and Justin Timberlake so it’s bound to be quite the party. See more here.

For one day only, Morton’s of Chicago will open for lunch just steps away from the main circuit. A 3-course set lunch where diners can choose from a selection of starters, entrees and desserts will be on offer at $125++ per person on race day, the 22nd of September from 12-430pm. Start your engines with the popular Morton’s salad, then rev up for entrees of either classic steaks such as center-cut filet mignon or seafood, like the broiled salmon filet or crab cakes. End off with Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake or desserts from the tray.

Leave it to Bjorn at artichoke to break the rules. From 17-21 September 2013, enjoy a one-off menu of everything OTT at one of our favourite restaurants. From Sticky Wings with Red Bull Glaze, Feta Cheese Ranch Dressing & Charred Corn Salsa; Grain-Fed Ribeye with Coca-Cola Caramel & Sriracha Pretzel Coleslaw; and Waffles with Smoked Salmon, Wasabi Pea Crumble, Jim Beam Sour Cream & Honey, this is one menu you’ve been warned about.

You can also head to Keyaki at Pan Pacific for a special F1 weekend brunch. Enjoy an authentic 8-course Japanese set brunch with all-time favourites like sashimi, chawanmushi, teppanyaki, and more! Prices are at S$120 per person, with a free flow of G.H.Mumm champagne, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, selected beers and sake or S$60 per person for food only.

More news at Pan Pac: if you’re looking for some daytime debauchery, sign up for the infamous Bacchanalia brunch series. Available only on Sat, 21 Sep 2013 from 1-630pm, this GPSS Edition features a stellar line up of three DJs who will be dropping some serious beats. The wonderkid to look out for? DJ Jesse Marco (US) who has played at events for Alexander Wang, Vivienne Westwood and Tom Ford. See more here.
