Honeycombers Bar Hop: Siloso Beach Edition

Boy oh boy, we’ve got one helluva Friday sundowner planned out for you and friends on Friday, 18 October. The Honeycombers Bar Hop (get the lowdown here) is back and this time, we’re taking it to sunny Sentosa. Experience: Goodbye Merlion

A part of us died inside (our childhood, probably) when we heard the bad news. Yes, Sentosa’s Merlion will be demolished to pave way for new development. Nonetheless, feel free to pay as many visits as you want till it ceases operations on 20 October 2019. Admission is 50% off for adults and children. Senior citizens aged 60 and above can enjoy free entry. That’s not all – you can also enjoy an exclusive light and sound show, interactive games and plenty of photo ops to treasure for life.

Festival: The Raffles Reopening Festival

18 Oct
You probably heard the good news – yes, Raffles Hotel Singapore has finally opened its doors after a two-year revamp. What happens when Singapore’s most beloved hotel springs into action? We celebrate! This four-hour festival will give you peek inside newly restored suites along with a showcase of local and international talents and a culinary extravaganza. Feast on celebrity chefs concepts – featuring BBR by Alain Ducasse, La Dame de Pic, Tiffin Room and Butcher’s Block. Psst… the hotel will be donating proceeds from tickets sales to adopted Community Chest, which supports around 80 social service agencies in Singapore.

Culture: Deepavali Open House 2019

19, 26, 27 October
Celebrate the festival of lights with myriad activities at the Indian Heritage Centre. Held over three weekends leading up to Deepavali, the open house will include cooking demonstrations, saree draping workshops, a special edition of a Little India heritage trail, live band performances and even free tea and snacks. Of course, don’t forget to explore Little India and the lovely light up at night and taste some decadent Indian sweets that are bound to get you on a sugar high.

Concert: Jaden Smith

With two albums under his belt, Jaden Smith is a rising star and will be making his debut performance in Singapore at nightclub behemoth Zouk. More than just a rapper, he has also made appearances on the silver screen such as Karate Kid alongside his celebrity father, Will Smith and Netflix series, Get Down. Party: Dirty Circus Feat. Cirque Le Soir

Did Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal of the iconic bloodthirsty clown Pennywise scare the brave out of you in the cinemas? If you’re in for a similar thrill, Ce La Vi has something creepy in store. The spectacular rooftop nightclub is bringing back London’s Cirque Le Soir on 26 October, to dazzle us with magicians, sword swallowers, acrobats, exotic dancers and freaky clowns (the worst!). Bring on the screams and scares! Halloween Horror Nights is back to rock your evenings this month. The ninth edition has five haunted houses, two scare zones and two live killer shows – including a haunted house (Curse of the Naga) conceptualised by the directors of the terrorising Thai horror films, Shutter and 4bia. Sidetrack: Shutter’s climax scene still gives us the chills. A little closer to home is The Chalet Hauntings featuring the most extensive collection of Southeast Asian ghosts in #HHN history. Art & Dine: Voilah! France Singapore Festival 2019

Fawn over the fine artworks of French artist Jisbar Planche as he curates four unique pieces inspired by the late Karl Lagerfeld. These vibrant artworks will be on display (and available for purchase!) at the front lobby and La Bibliotek, a library curated by Karl Lagerfeld himself, for the hotel. Held in partnership with Miaja Art Collections, the collection also features some of the artists greatest work inspired by pop culture. The exhibition opens with a fab night of French arts, food and wine on 4 October.
