It’s so easy to lose track of time and get hungry when you’re entirely engrossed in a futuristic, out-of-the-world exhibition at ArtScience Museum, or in the middle of a Marina Bay Sands shopping spree (shopping can really work up an appetite!).
Well, you don’t have to look too far for a treat: Conveniently located at the lobby of the iconic ArtScience Museum is the newest SweetSpot outpost. It’s the perfect place to hang for delicious bites and that much-needed caffeine fix. We stopped by to refuel and here’s what we ordered for a mid-afternoon munch.
Feed your fancy

Over at the salad counter, we had a blast making our own salad and picking most colourful ingredients we saw. In particular, we loved the teriyaki salmon, somen, sauteed bell peppers, and most of all, the yuzu shoyu sauce that added savouriness and depth to all the ingredients in our bowl.
Alternatively, opt for a signature combination like the avocado and heirloom tomato salad, or the protein-packed bean ragout and falafel salad. Bringing kids? Check out the kids menu with all-time favourites like the cauliflower mac and cheese or the turkey club wrap.

For dessert, the Coconut Banana Tart won us over with its rich filling and buttery, crumbly crust. Did we also mention that it’s served with a swirl of chocolate ice cream? Heavenly. If that isn’t enough, there are also cookie jars sitting along the counter that’ll tempt you with flavours like chocolate peanut butter and cranberries oatmeal… We might have bagged some home as afters.
Coffee, tea, or smoothie?
Not gonna lie, we had all of the above. For a jolt of caffeine, we tried the cafe’s specials: the French press coffee and chai latte. The coffee uses UCC beans from Africa and Latin America. If you like an intense and heavy-bodied cup of joe, the bold and acidic notes of this black coffee would suit your palate. It also promises a serious energy boost that will definitely kick your food coma to the curb.
On the other hand, for the times when you want something sweet and milky, but don’t want a caffeine overload by ordering your fifth cappuccino of the day, order up a chai latte. And you don’t have to worry about the spice factor at all – this cafe’s house blend is extremely mild and so light that it’s great for chai newbies.

Crowd-favourite smoothies include the Avocado Glow and Berry Sanctuary. An awesome way to satisfy a sweet craving without adding excess sugar to your diet, these drinks look excellent on the ‘gram too. Double win.
