Victoria Wholesale Centre’s new rooftop is morphing into a no-frills open-air block party this Saturday. On the agenda, hotdogs and hip-hop. Pushin’On, the island’s longest-running funk and soul night, is taking over the deck with special guest MC Reason from Australia joining the lineup. Fung Kee Hotdogs and Papi’s Tacos will bring their delish grub. Head down to the rooftop for hip-hop, funk, soul, boogie, disco, jazz and sounds with a side of hotdogs and tacos. See ya there!

If you love the numbingly spicy Szechuan goodness that is mala, a visit to Auntie’s Wok and Steam is a must. Bring on the screams and scares! Halloween Horror Nights are back and you could just be one the firsts to experience this annual phenomenon at USS. The ninth edition has five haunted houses, two scare zones and two live killer shows – including a haunted house (Curse of the Naga) conceptualised by the directors of the terrorising Thai horror films, Shutter and 4bia. Sidetrack: Shutter’s climax scene still gives us the chills. A little closer to home is The Chalet Hauntings featuring the most extensive collection of Southeast Asian ghosts in #HHN history.
