“Teaching music and singing at school in such way that it is not a torture but a joy for the pupil; instill a finer music in him, a thirst which will last for a lifetime.” – Zoltán Kodály

Hungarian composer and music educator Zoltán Kodály was one of the world’s foremost thinkers and leaders in music education. His philosophy and music methodology have significantly influenced public and private education in countries such as Japan, Korea, the UK and the US. In fact, you might have unknowingly experienced some of these fantastic ideas that were borrowed and successfully utilised in public schools as well as some of the largest commercial music schools in Singapore!

Experience Hungarian-inspired music education with a Singapore twist in this workshop by Albert Tay, founder and director of the Kodály Academy of Music Singapore. Full of joyful learning, music games and singing for the young and young-at-heart. Recommended for children 7 – 12 years old.
