One of the first pieces of the event-planning puzzle is finding the perfect venue. Once that’s booked, everything else is a little bit easier to tackle. But, anyone who’s searched for a suitable event space in Singapore can tell you: it ain’t easy. If your criteria include an airy and chic interiors with delicious food and drinks for your fussy guests, look no further than the versatile and vibrant Lime House.
Step into this colourful restaurant and you’ll feel like you’ve been whisked to a Caribbean island with its eye-popping vintage furniture and traditional tiles. The high ceilings also make space feel a lot breezier – which is great if you’re planning an offsite team meeting as research has shown that our brains are prompt to think freely in spacious rooms. Lime House also has a “welcome home” philosophy, and the warm and cosy vibe of the place, coupled with super-friendly staff, will make everyone feel right at ease. If you’re planning a networking session or a social gathering, this couldn’t be more perfect.
The best part about hosting events at Lime House is that you have three storeys to choose from, and each measures out to be 1,500 square feet. Planning an engagement reception? Book the full-service ground floor restaurant and enjoy a lovely al fresco lounge space, affectionately dubbed “Lime Yard”. For a corporate event, the second and third floor will suit just fine with its flexible space that can be customised to your needs. The spiffy venue also provides AV equipment (projector, screens, mics, DJ booth, and speakers) and mobile bars.
If you’re anything like us, food makes or breaks an event, and Lime House’s drool-worthy Caribbean selections won’t disappoint. Must-orders are the famed jerk chicken, oxtail dumplings, and fish escovitch. Veggie-lovin’ friends are not forgotten; the resto also does delish vegetarian dishes like the sweet potato spinach gratin that’s season perfectly with Carribean spices. Don’t forget to order their signature cocktails to go along — we all know everything is better with booze. The spiffy eatery also does both sit-down formal dinners and communal platters for a massive party. Just want the space, but not the grub? No worries; Lime House customisable packages let you cater food from outside, too!
