It’s Saturday morning, and you’re looking to spend some doggone good time with your precious four-legged chum. To prepare you for the best weekend ever, we’ve rounded up the best dog-friendly spots in Singapore to hit with your furry kid. Pack your bags!
Tanjong Beach, Sentosa
If you’re driving into the island, there are heaps of parking near the beach. Here, your pooch can run free off-leash on the sand, and take a dip in the sea when it gets too hot out. Make a pit stop at Tanjong Beach Club or Coastes (on Siloso Beach) for brunch; they provide doggie bowls of water!
Singapore Botanic Gardens
The Gardens can be easily accessed via various entrance spaces, and is a popular place to walk with dogs. Explore the 183-acre sanctuary with your pup and geek out on the beautiful flora and fauna before dropping in at Casa Verdé for a refreshing drink.

West Coast Park and Dog Run
The dog run at the park, located at the eastern end, is one of the largest in Singapore, and a hotspot making new friends on the weekends – furries or not! If Fido is feeling anti-social, take him on the lead for a walk around the lovely park, or head there during the week when it’s quieter. Run out of water? Just refill your water bottle from the tap. Oh, it’s open 24/7 , too.

To the spa!
Having thoroughly exercised and no doubt covered in a little salt water, sand and/or mud, it’s time for some serious spoiling! Situated within the hip Tiong Bahru neighbourhood is A Dog’s Life Pet Salon (32 Eng Hoon Street, Singapore 169780, p. 6222 8559), which does everything from teeth cleaning and facials to a simple wash-and-blow.
Along Joo Chiat Road is Wagging Rights (337 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427590, p. 6447 0335), a one-stop shop for loads of doggy fun and pampering. Treat Fido with gourmet food and a spot of grooming while you’re there. The place also offers daycare and training.
Not too far away from Wagging Rights is The Barkery (#01-12 The Daffodil, 568 Upper East Coast Road, Singapore 466584, p. 6448 6529), where you can pick up tasty and healthy homemade bites like cakes, sausages and probiotic duck feet treats to keep your baby happy.
Sunny Heights
This centre provides doggy daycare, boarding, swimming and plenty of socialising opportunities. Stop by Pawlicious Bakery or Ah B Café after for dog-friendly snacks and coffee (for humans), and then give the now-stinky poo a spot a bath at Fur’N’Away Grooming.

Look out for doggy events!
Keep your eyes peeled for the many doggy events in Singapore throughout the year. There’s the PetExpo in March, Woof-a-thon in April, Discover Dogs Championship Show in August, as well as the Singapore Specials Run in East Coast Park in November – lots to keep everyone amused throughout the year!
