Flock Café
We flocked to this popular Tiong Bahru family-run café for their tasty and inexpensive all-day breakfast menu. Try the French toast with bananas and chocolate sauce ($8.90) and if you’re the earliest bird, sample the popular Pork Cheek Gruyere sandwich ($11.90).

Strictly Pancakes
Just as the name suggests, it’s pretty much strictly pancakes here. But oh, what pancakes they are! Famous for their twist on traditional savory pancakes like the Garlic Buttered Prawns ($14) and Potatoes Leeking Cheese ($12), these guys also do traditional sweet options like Lemon Curds for the Nerds ($10) and Tiramisu ($12).

Kith Café
Yummy mummies and Sentosa scions alike love lingering at Kith Café. Home to tasty bakery items, it’s the toasties that rule the lower priced end of the menu. Try the corn frittata ($14); eggs and toast ($8); croque monsieur ($5.50), and tuna, cheddar and green apple toastie ($5.50) Three locations throughout Singapore, we prefer the larger Park Mall outlet.

An ovo-lacto veg heaven, you can get your favorite breakfast staple fried, scrambled, poached, over easy, boiled, whatever. Hatched’s “eggxotic” menu is full of creative takes on the incredible, edible egg such as the corned beef Burly Benedict ($12) and the pesto and fried egg Birds Nest ($14). If your appetite climbs into overdrive from the wait, know that you will be rewarded with portions so big there’s no way you’re leaving here hungry. Hatched, 26 Evans Road, #01-06 Evans Lodge, Singapore 259367, p. 6735.0012 and 267 Holland Avenue, Singapore 278989, p. 6463 0012.

A favorite at Changi City Point, we get eggcited just looking at the huge variety of breakfasts on the menu. Eggs & Berries offers a wide variety of all day breakfasts, all available in monster-huge portions. Standouts are the Fish & Chips with Scrambled Eggs ($10.50) and the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs ($9.50), or go the traditional route with the hearty Eggs Benedict ($12.80).

Colbar Eating House
Nestled snugly within colonial buildings and greenery, this nostalgia diner was once a canteen for the servicemen in the Estate. Colbar’s menu has a good, even mix of Asian and Western favorites, serving up $9 Fish and Chips and a $5 Bacon Sandwich. But try the curry chicken rice ($9), rumored to be the “best” item on the menu.
