
Golden Village and Alliance Francaise have come together to organise Paris Opera Series this February
Bringing to you timeless opera acts on screen, catch the tragic La Tarviata on 10 (Part 1) and 11 February (Part 2) 2015. Directed by Louise Narboni and Benoît Jacquot. Based on Alexandre Dumas fils’s play La Dame aux camélias, the show is perform in Italian with English subtitles. One of opera’s greatest romance, La Tarviata tells an epic tale of love, sacrifice and the search for happiness. The show is set to a haunting score by the great Giuseppe Verdi.
The Tales of Hoffmann will also be screening on 16 (Part 1) and 17 February (Part 2). This fantasy opera follows a poet and artists who dreams of three women and falls in love with them. The show showcase a true self-portrait of Jacques Offenbach.
For $28, opera fans will get to enjoy a screening (Part 1 and 2), as well as a presentation by Robert Casteels and a cocktail reception.
