Da Vinci Exhibition opens this weekend

The early bird does indeed catch the worm. Da Vinci: Shaping the Future is finally opening this Saturday! Those of you that have already bought tickets will be really pleased to know that ArtScience Museum will be hosting a series of complimentary events exclusively this weekend to celebrate the opening.

Look forward to curated guided tours on both Saturday and Sunday (15 and 16 November 2014) at 11:30am and 5pm with curators Dr Alberto Rocca and Carolina Donzelli as they take you through the exhibition, revealing fascinating facts about the 26 pages of Codex Atlanticus, and the six original paintings from the School of Leonardo.

On Saturday, Dr Rocca will be at the Expression Gallery (Level 4) at 2:30pm to give a talk on the da Vinci Codex Atlanticus and sharing his professional insights on the inventions and ideas jotted down in the sketchbook. There will also be various artists talks happening on the weekend by contemporary artists, Yan Follain, Luke Jerram, Donna Ong and Semiconductor, who will be discussing the thought processes behind their modern interpretations of Da Vinci’s works. Artist’s gallery talks are held between 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

The talks and tours are free for ticket holders. Standard ticket: $25 ($19 for Singapore residents); season pass for unlimited visits $30. For more information, visit ArtScience Museum’s website.
