Bad week? Good week? No matter, the weekend will make everything better. If you absolutely must choose (but why?), we say get in line for Honey Creme and their pillowy, heavenly, creamy cold treats. It’s totally worth the wait – trust us!
#1 – Honey Creme has arrived
Judging from the long, snaking queues we saw on opening day (26 October 2014), we dare say their soft serve ice cream is the next big thing everyone’s going crazy for in sunny Singapore. Try the Honey Creme Organic Cotton Candy Affogato – the cotton candy ice cream cup has espresso poured over it, then crowned with another layer of cotton candy for that extra sugar rush.

#2 – Old school cool at The Tiong Bahru Club Singapura
Just as we thought Tiong Bahru has hit a (hipster) plateau, the neighbourhood welcomes a new heritage-inspired bistro offering a slew of dishes spanning across Singapore’s many different cultures. There’s Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Eurasian, which is getting increasingly hard to find. And if you haven’t already, be sure to get yourself acquainted with a Eurasian favourite – Devil’s Curry.

#3 – Mediterranean flavours at The Knolls
Have a taste of Southeastern France (without flying there) at the ever-tranquil Knolls at Capella Singapore. The restaurant’s culinary crew has teamed up with one Michelin-starred French Chef Reine Sammut for a series of too-good-to-miss events including wine dinners, fancy set lunches and cooking demos. Find out more here.

#4 – Holy cheeses! Your favourite ingredient complete with truffle
The truffle season is officially in full swing. For curd nerds, this can only mean one thing: truffle cheese. Don’t miss The Cheese Ark’s seasonal selections, which include lovely wedges like the basin al tartufo (a light week-old goat cheese from Italy), and the trufflefirne – a decadent mix of truffles with fresh cheese and cow’s milk brie from Switzerland, available from tomorrow (1 November 2014).
